FAQs

How do I make an appointment?

Simply call us on 0405 972 386, contact us via email info@bmfamilyphysiotherapy.com.au or message us via facebook ‘Family Physiotherapy’

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No, physiotherapy does not require a doctors referral, however you may attend your GP to receive an enhanced primary care plan (if eligible), which will subsidise your appointment costs.

How soon can I make an appointment?

Same day appointments may be available. We try our best to cater for emergency appointments and work around your schedule.

What should I expect from the appointment?

Family Physiotherapy is a patient-centered service, therefore the session in terms of treatment and outcomes are led by you. What you will expect is a thorough assessment, education and advice about the prognosis and treatment options available.

Do I need to bring anything?

You do not necessarily need to bring anything in particular. It is helpful to bring any relevant medical history, imaging or referrals/reports from specialist or doctors. If you have private health insurance please bring your health insurance card so that we are able to claim on the spot. If you have an enhanced primary care plan from your doctor, please make sure to bring that and your medicare card.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing is always helpful in the case you are asked to perform some rehabilitation exercises and to allow the physiotherapist to perform a thorough assessment. You may be asked to disrobe if necessary for the assessment so wearing something comfortable is advised.
